I’m an old hand at Linux. In 1994 I was downloading Slackware floppy images via PPP over a 14.4kbps modem, and compiling the kernel on an old i486 PC with 8MB RAM.
Boy am I glad I don’t have to do that anymore.
These days I use Ubuntu Linux for my home PC. Installation and uprgrades are a breeze, and most importantly everything just works.
